I am a Canadian independent music artist, experimenting with electronic and acoustic textures. My current musical direction could be described as meditative indie ambient and electronica. I weave with diverse sonic fabrics, bringing flowing melodies together with samples, sound design, and self-made ASMR-like recordings of Canadian cities and nature.
My influences include listening to my environments, Buddhism, and other artists’ processes. In my creative process, I run a common thread of ambiance and organic quality through my tracks. The landscapes I make are both deeply personal, and universally explorable.
I am a keyboardist, with a mixed taught and self-taught jazz piano background. Jazz has been a part of my life since childhood, and artists such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Thelonious Monk, have been influential to my growth as a musician. Ryuichi Sakamoto, Western Canadian artists Yu Su and Khotin, and Egyptian artist ZULI, have also shaped my musical direction. I am originally from Ukraine, but grew up in Calgary, Alberta. Currently I’m based in Montréal.
